Surface Solutions for Textured Pots and Sculptural Tiles

How do you play with glaze and other surface treatments for sculptural surfaces? You can do something subtle to accent the texture and form, or something playful to contrast with it. How do the  gloss or matte, opaque and transparent ​properties of glaze affect your pieces? How do underglazes work with these textures?

Students are encouraged to have roughly 5-10  test tiles with sculptural relief, or small test pots already bisque fired for this workshop. Must be made with NOHO pottery clay, cone 6 stoneware.
